If people wonder why America has such an out-of-control immigration problem, here is another reason and example. On Monday, April 8, an Obama-appointed federal judge in California’s 9th Circuit issued an injunction halting the Trump administration's policy of sending some asylum seekers back across the southern border to wait out their deportation cases in Mexico.
District Judge Richard Seeborg’s rule is slated to take effect the Friday, April 12, according to the order by the U.S., and the injunction will apply nationwide. The ruling removes at least temporarily a controversial Trump administration strategy aimed at slowing a flood of immigrants, many of them families from Central America, that swelled last month to the highest level in a decade.
The judge’s opinion will allow illegal aliens who claim asylum to be released almost immediately after they are apprehended. Those aliens, whose number has swollen into the thousands, are assigned a court date for a hearing and rarely report again.
Last November 2018, the Trump administration negotiated the support of Mexico's incoming president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador's, and his government for a plan to remake U.S. border policy by requiring asylum-seekers to wait in Mexico while their claims move through U.S. courts. Judge Seeborg has now negated that policy.
All asylum seekers, particular the ones who enter illegally, should wait in a 3rd country like Mexico for an immigration court hearing. Liberal judges are making securing the border and controlling immigration very difficult.
