Former President Trump set the hot button campaign issue for Republicans in the midterms and the future in his Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) speech on Sunday, Feb. 28. It will be immigration and border security.
Trump said President Biden has "triggered a massive flood of illegal immigration into our country, the likes of which we have never seen before." It is a fact that all Americans can see, even though the Fake News tried to help the Biden White House spin it.
Steve Miller, the Trump Administration’s policy developer for zero illegal immigration tolerance, has told Republican members of Congress that immigration will be the issue to hammer Democrats in the midterms elections. The border crisis with thousands of illegal aliens entering weekly has become a political disaster for Democrats in traditionally Democratic south Texas and other places. Instead of winning Hispanic/Latino voters over, Democrats are losing them in those border areas.
As Biden and the Democrats try to appease the globalist, pro-open borders, anti-America radicals in their party, Americans are watching the foreign invasion through social media. Biden has encouraged thousands of aliens to enter with a promise or an amnesty. He has also reinstituted the “catch & release” policy and told the Border Patrol and Immigration & Customs Enforcement agents to limit their arrests and deportations.
The main concern among conservatives will be those Republicans who want to be soft on illegal immigration. There are some Republicans who support DACA and a limited amnesty, which only serves to excuse and reward illegal immigration. Some "moderate" Republicans also fear being called "racist" by the Fake News.
Republican candidates must support a zero-tolerance for all illegal immigration regardless of age or condition. If we don’t punish illegal immigration, we will get more, and we will lose our country.
All immigration laws and policies must be America First, and Republican candidates must stand tall and firm for legal immigration and secure borders.
