The Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol (RGV) agents made 25 arrests and seized two pistols from five failed human smuggling events within 24-hours between Tuesday, Aug. 31 and Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021.
A white Ford F-150 and a brown Ford Explorer were stopped at the Falfurrias Border Patrol Checkpoint on Tuesday morning. Agents discovered several illegal aliens and two semi-automatic pistols inside the vehicles.
Shortly after, a Weslaco Border Patrol Station agent received a tip about a black sedan near the Rio Grande south of Donna, TX. After a chase, agents apprehended four illegal aliens but observed the driver, and two other subjects flee into Mexico.
A vehicle failed to stop at a checkpoint and led agents on a vehicle pursuit on Tuesday evening. The vehicle was chased and finally stopped near San Manuel, TX, where agents arrested the driver and five illegal aliens without further incident.
Still, on Tuesday evening, agents stopped on a blue Chevrolet Impala traveling north on U.S. Highway 281, north of Edinburg. Numerous subjects ran from the vehicle and west across the highway, causing two civilian vehicles to crash in their attempts to avoid hitting the subjects. Emergency medical services were requested and provided medical care for the innocent drivers. In addition, agents apprehended five illegals after searching the area but did not locate the driver.
Just before sunrise on Wednesday, RGV agents apprehended five illegal aliens running from a pursued vehicle toward the river. The driver and two subjects were observed swimming back to Mexico.
In the meantime, the Biden Administration insists that the border is uncontrol and has instructed agents to concentrate on “processing” asylum claims and humanitarian rescues rather than apprehensions, detentions, and deportations. Biden is encouraging more illegal immigration.
