Customs & Border Protection reported over 200,000 encounters with illegal aliens in June 2022. However, liberal local governments are helping the Biden Administration encourage and support illegal immigration, including the colonization of American communities with illegal aliens.
The recently opened Migrant Center in San Antonio assists illegal aliens traveling to other destinations across the country. It is an example of the city government supporting the federal government in skirting and undermining immigration laws at taxpayers’ expense.
For example, the city spends at least $16,500 per day for overtime for SAPD security. This figure increases dramatically when the rental space, public health services, and transportation costs are included.
The city is also using other resources like the Fire Department EMS staff, which could be serving the lawful taxpaying citizens elsewhere. Instead, all this public funding is to help people who broke immigration laws.
Furthermore, by helping those who broke federal immigration laws, the city government leaders are violating their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. There are also some questions about ignoring the state’s anti-sanctuary city laws.
City leaders say the federal government will reimburse them, and thus the taxpayers will not lose money. However, where does the federal government get money if not from the taxpayers? So, the taxpayers are losing money to finance a center that helps illegal aliens who have never paid into the public coffers.
By helping these illegal aliens, the city government is supporting the federal government in violating immigration laws and encouraging more illegal immigration. Illegal immigration is a crime, and when a government ignores and rewards criminal behavior, it gets more and worse illegal behavior.
San Antonio citizens must speak out against the city leaders who have funded this center and the news media, which covers up their deception. The city should not support illegal immigration or assist in breaking immigration laws.
