The crime and violence in San Antonio continue to worsen for two main reasons. First, Bexar County has a District Attorney more interested in social justice than punishing criminals. Second, city leaders limit the police officers from doing their jobs because they fear criticism and backlash from liberals and leftists, including the local news.
If crime is excused and tolerated, particularly because of race and income, then you get more and worse crime. This is a list of the shootings and stabbings reported in the local news from July 7 through Aug. 4, 2023. The list is lengthy and troubling.
Since public safety is one of the most important services of local government, citizens should demand action from their county and city elected officials. Liberal, soft-on-crime policies are endangering law-abiding citizens.
