Josue Daniel Claros-Trajedo, a 19-year-old illegal alien, been arrested and charged with firing a gun at helicopters responding to a deadly HPD chopper crash on May 2, 2020. The incident resulted in the death of HPD Tactical Flight Officer Jason Knox and pilot Chase Cormier.
According to court documents, Claros-Trajedo at least shot five rounds into the air shortly after the helicopter crash around 2 a.m. He allegedly fired one shot before the crash, but it's not clear if he was aiming at the HPD helicopter. A video shows the HPD helicopter spinning out of control and crashing to the ground.
According to witnesses, Claros-Trajedo hid the guns he shot in an air vent in his apartment. He is charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a public servant, and also faces charges of discharging a firearm in a metro area, tampering with evidence, reckless driving and unlawfully carrying a weapon. There were reports of shots fired before and after the crash and Police Chief Art Acevedo said six people were arrested.
Claros-Trajedo is being held on a $100,000 bond and an immigration hold.
This crime is another example of criminal behavior by illegal aliens in America. Sadly, Democrats and the liberal news media overlook and, in some cases justify, their bad behavior.
